D.F.: El Colegio de México, Centro de Investigación para la Integración Social del Estado de Oaxaca (Archivo de Lenguas Indígenas del Estado de Oaxaca), 1983. — 138 (139) p.This volume contains information on Huave, an indigenous language of Mexico spoken in San Mateo del Mar, in the state of Oaxaca. More precisely the language is spoken in four villages on the Isthmus of Tehuantepec. Huave continues to be considered an isolate. The objective of collecting such a representative sampling of the linguistic richnessof the region was to store it for typological and historic comparisons. To gather data, questionnaires designed to elicit responses that would reveal the linguistics, vocabulary, grammar, and syntax of the language were administered to the indigenous people of the area. (The book is written in Spanish).
